As a current health care worker, I have had the pleasure of working with patients in many different stages of life, although pediatrics have always had a special place in my heart. I started fostering my love for children at a young age , in 4th grade my teacher trusted me with the care of her toddler after school. It was a job I maintained all the way through 7th grade! In high school, I spent my Jr & Sr year working as a volunteer kindergarten aide. I continued to integrate my love for kids as an undergraduate student working as a part time babysitter. As a student in the honors college at my university, I was also offered the opportunity to work as a mentor/tutor to the incoming underclassmen students. I spent a majority of my time tutoring upper level math, english, and science courses (chemistry, biology, and other Read more physical sciences). Learning and exploration are my first love, and I hope that these are values that I can help foster in the wonderful children of my community.
