Hi my name is CJ Silverman and I have been a resident of Geneva, IL for my entire life. I am 19 years old and a freshman at the University of Tennessee. Prior to going off to study marketing at my dream school, I was a member of the Geneva Varsity Dance Team and also participated in competitive dance with local dance studios since I was a young girl. I also love music! My parents raised me with country music always part of our weekend nights, so that has to be my favorite. During high school I also participated in several charity organizations and I was a member of National Honor Society and All Conference Academic consistently over my high school years. However, the greatest impact for me was the launch of my charity organization The Leveled Stage. I was fortunate to have dance classes and competitions paid for by Read more my parents. I was aware of the cost of dance, even the sparkly costumes that accumulated so quickly over the years. I realized that every young person should have the same chance to dance regardless of income or ability to afford the costumes, shoes and dance wear. As a result, The Leveled Stage was launched. We collect gently used dance wear and provide donations to studios serving lower income young dancers. During my work with my charitable organization, I received impactful lessons pertaining to the impact we each can make in the lives of others. Doing good for others is rewarding but the direction I gained for my education and future direction as a Marketing professional who seeks to create meaningful products that benefit others has become my calling. I am very fortunate for all of these lessons. As the second child and youngest, I didn’t get to have the younger siblings I always wanted. This definitely plays a part in my love for caretaking for kids. It’s almost as if I get to be a big sister to many and it brings me so much joy having fun with the kids I take care of. As I complete my freshman year at the University of Tennessee, I am seeking a summer nanny position. I know the joy I feel in spending my time with children and a nanny position is my goal for the summer months. Thank you for considering me!
