I am a 38 year old Mom, Wife and Teacher. I'm also a Licenced Foster Parent in the state of Texas who adopted 2 biological siblings in 2019. My journey of working with children started at a young age, I would babysit for children in the neighborhood as a teen. I have worked professionally in a child care operation for about 4 years. I have over 74 hours of training hours ranging from CPR/First Aid to being a Certified Autism Parent Leader in the community. I have experience with children from 2mths to 18yrs, with training in Trauma Informed Care, Self-Regulation Techniques, Adverse Childhood Trauma, Trust Based Relational Intervention, Fire and Active Shooter Training and the list goes on. I have experience working with children with Moderate to Chronic Behavior and Mental Health Challenges. My most recent experience is a Teacher serving Infants to Pre-K at a top tier local Read more Private School in Woodway Texas. I am a college graduate with a Degree in the Dental field however children have always been my passion and purpose. I absolutely love being able to watch them grow and thrive leaning to navigate this world with my help and support every step of the way. I love to cook and bake from scratch following diets and restrictions but still creating delicious nutritious meals. I have a Food handlers licence so I understand the importance of cross contamination, and food safety. I love spending quality educational time by doing dramatic play, to encourage imagination and growth through learning, I'm very crafty and think it's important to encourage creativity through my love of arts and crafts. Although I live having fun and engaging in age appropriate free time, I believe education is IMPORTANT and carves time in the schedule for age appropriate curriculum. As a teacher I thrive in this department, from planning daily curriculum with fun kid friendly goals that have positive incentives to promote self esteem and positive views on education. I teach potty training, crawling, walking, rolling over to promote gross motor skills. I'm also no stranger to cleaning, I like things cleaned and organized, I always like to encourage children to do age appropriate chores, and cooking when appropriate.
