Hi, my name is Lori and I have been in your shoes and I know how very critical it is to find just the right person to care for your child, so let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force (6 years) retired Postmaster from the U.S. Postal Service (21 years), a wife, a mother of 3(set of twins +1), a Dog Mom to a spoiled Pom-Chi named Carly, and a Mema to 8 beautiful grandchildren. I love eating healthy, hiking, camping, working out, volunteering with my church's children's ministries (toddler Sunday school, infant nursery, youth age ministry outreach chaperone, vacation bible school etc.), hanging out with family, and just kicking it around at a park on Saturday afternoon! So...you may be wondering why am I applying for a sitter/nanny position??? Well...for the last 40 years I have raised Read more my children, helped raise my niece and also left my career when it was time for my grand children to come along so I could help my children. The time has come where all but one is in school, so once again the "feathers of the nest are empty". I would love to bring empathy, compassion, planning of age appropriate educational activities to your child while also bringing a level of safety commitment as she/he begins to explore all his/her first. There is something so special about seeing a child when they take their very first steps, or learn to ride their bike without their training wheels for the very first time, teaching them their colors, or watching their expression when you animate story time! Maybe THIS is the real reason why I am applying, its those feeling you receive only from a child. Having twins, 3 children (all in diapers at once) was my greatest blessing, (although I didn't feel it at all at the time) because it gave me my greatest gift that I would carry throughout every aspect of life...the gift of patience and multi-tasking! I never knew how beneficial that gift would be. As your child changes, so will his days...I believe walks and fresh air are essential. Reading is good for a child's soul as well as ours, stroller walks, or play days in the parks are the best! I’m not that one on their cell phone sitting on the bench, Im actually the one that is sliding down the slide with your child and chasing them around the play ground!😂🤣😂 It’s all about making memories for both of us!💛 Wishing you the best in finding just the right fit for your precious one.
