Hi! My name is Lela (pronounced "lee lah"). I am a third-year politics student at UCSB. I started my experience in childcare with my younger brother and learned about caring for babies, but most recently, about 6 years ago, I became a camp counselor, which became my summer job every year since then. With this job, I dealt with kids from ages 4-13; I learned about keeping kids entertained and happy, dealing with behavioral issues, and keeping them active and healthy. This job required me to be trained in first aid, as well as have a CPR certification reviewed every two years. Additionally, I have a driver's license and have been driving for about 5 years, but unfortunately I don't own my own car. Growing up with a younger brother and being around younger kids most of my life, I've grown to really enjoy their company. Having a younger brother Read more also gave me many connections in babysitting friends of his or family friends, so in addition to my experience at summer camp, I frequently babysit when it's offered to me, kids from ages 1-15. Although I consider myself to be pretty fun and silly at times, I can also be stern when needed. I am known for being organized and clean, so I have no problem helping out around the house or assisting with whatever else is needed. I’m also pet-friendly; I love animals! Crafts, baking, science experiments, playing outside, video games- I'm ready for it all! My schedule for the remainder of the year is as follows (with the exception of a couple of random days where I might not be available, and I will know about it ahead of time): - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, free after 1 - Wednesday, free after 5 - Friday, free all day before 6 - Saturday, not available - Sunday, available all day
