Experience & Approach: Childcare has been part of my life since I was 12 years old, and I truly can't imagine it any different! I've babysat regularly and occasionally for families throughout middle school, high school, and into adulthood, including watching a group of neighborhood kids long-term during the summer months so parents knew they were in good hands close to home. Beyond babysitting, I've built a wide base of experience working with kids in different settings: teaching Sunday school, working at camps, and facilitating children's grief groups. I currently serve as a program manager for a national educational program at an Arizona-based nonprofit, training and certifying facilitators who run a discussion series for family caregivers of people with dementia, and I've also tutored adult Ukrainian students in basic English. My work schedule is flexible, which gives me the opportunity to take on more regular and last-minute babysitting gigs! Community Read more Involvement: I'm passionate about supporting all children, including advocating for those in the foster care system. I have served on a Foster Care Review Board with Maricopa County for nearly five years and am currently, or have previously, volunteered with organizations including HopeKids, M.I.K.I.D., supervising visitations at Arizonans for Children, Billy's Place, and the Children's Heart Gallery. Volunteering was a big part of my upbringing, and I've done various activities with children of all ages, including teaching Sunday School classes for 4-7 year olds, assisting in many other grade levels down to daycare, working with kids at Salvation Army toy drives each year, and helping with recreational sports leagues. What You Can Expect: I bring patience, energy, and reliability to every babysitting job, whether it's a one-time date night or a recurring weekly booking. I take safety seriously and am Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certified, as well as Mental Health First Aid Certified. I believe kids do best when they're having fun, feeling safe, and feeling heard, and I'm comfortable with all ages, from infants to high schoolers. I do my best to learn and follow each family's routines and preferences for the time I'm there. I'm easy to reach, flexible with scheduling, and happy to answer any questions before booking!
