Hi! My name is Sarah, and I'm 29 years old. I have approximately 5 years of paid experience working with children, including experience in before- and after-school childcare and over 4 years of professional experience working with children with autism and other developmental needs as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Most of my experience has been with children ages 3–7, although I also have experience with school-aged children. I enjoy helping children learn, play, build independence, and have fun while providing a safe and supportive environment. My professional experience has given me experience supporting a variety of communication methods, including AAC devices, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), and basic ASL. I also have experience supporting behavioral needs, daily living skills, toileting, transitions, and individualized needs. I have reliable transportation and am comfortable with pets. While I am not currently CPR or First Aid certified, I am willing to obtain both Read more certifications. I am especially interested in working with preschool and elementary-aged children and am comfortable providing care for children with special needs. I am patient, dependable, and willing to learn the routines and individual needs that are important to each child and family.
