Hello, my name is Tammie Boston. I will start by sayin I am the mother of two sons and the proud grandmother of a 3 year old granddaughter. Those facts only broadened my heart towards children. However, my baby sitting duties started way before them. Outside of helping to raise my sister's girls because she has been a diabetic since the age of 9, and stayed very sick after each birth. That was family, so my paid experience started my first summer home from college. I worked a summer program for Rainbow Express Daycare. We swam, went on trips daily, skated, etc. The next year, while I attended Ga State University pursing a Sociology degree, I worked for " A Friend Of the Family Agency" in Atlanta. I had the pleasure to work as a full-time nanny, part-time permanent nanny , as well as an on-call nanny. I loved it Read more so much that I kept that as my main job after college for a while. I have experience from a newborn up until the age of 17. The older age groups were overnight care, after-school or date nights. I have over 10 plus years in of experience just in a paid environment One of my favorite things are to make a child feel safe, secure and loved when their parents are at home or away. I also am proud to say that so many parents felt comfortable with me being in their home or office and trust me with their most valuable and loved person/persons in their lives. That was truly a blessing. I also feel that my experience as a transition/education counselor at the Georgia Dept. Justice for over 10 years, offers a unique perspective with dealing with youth from all backgrounds. My vast experience as a whole has given so much empathy and a genuine love for all kids in my care. I am now retired from the Federal government and would love to get back to loving and caring for children.
