Hi!! My name is Caitlyn and my experience working with children began pretty young because I was involved in a church community where I consistently volunteered with and cared for children! I became a paid childcare provider at 14 coaching gymnastics, and I have been professionally trained in that arena(attending conferences and further learning sessions). For several summers now, I have directed/managed summer camps back home in California, giving me experience with a wide range of backgrounds, learning styles, and personalities:)). I have experience with all age groups, nursery to teenage years! I absolutely love kids and plan on working within the school system, specifically with students with special needs, once I graduate from University of Oregon with a Multi-Disciplinary Sciences degree. I have emphasis in both Biology and Psychology and the majority of my classes revolve around studying early childhood education or disabilities studies. I am very pet friendly seeing as I have several of my own at home(including some not so stereotypical cuties). I am a military spouse, so I understand crazy, busy, and unpredictable schedules. My fiancé returned from a year long deployment at the end of March! So if your kiddos are in need due to a similar reason, trust me, I get it, and would love to be a steady supportive figure in their lives<3. My availability hours will be based upon my class schedule throughout the week, and unfortunately these hours will likely change with the turnover of terms here at UO. However, I would love to work consistently with families, as well as one time care for those who need:)
