Hello! I have 10+ years of experience working with children, starting with babysitting as a teenager and eventually moving into professional experience as both a nanny and a montessori preschool/childcare teacher. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Family & Consumer Science and Sociology, and I’m CPR & First Aid certified. As a nanny, I’ve cared for children of different ages and through varying developmental stages. I have experience in meal prep, driving children to and from school/activities, planning activities/crafts, helping with homework and early learning skills, and encouraging age-appropriate independence. I also have hands-on experience with potty training and have successfully helped children through the process using consistency, positive reinforcement, and a routine that worked for them. I’m big on helping kids become more independent as they grow, talking things through with them, and having reasonable and clear expectations. I also really value having good communication with parents and working as a team so the kids have consistency between us. I want the families I work with to feel like their kids are with someone who genuinely knows and cares about them who will always keep them safe.
