Hi! I’m Mattie! I’m 30 and currently an MSW student at UNC Charlotte. I’ve always really enjoyed working with people and families, which is a big part of what led me to social work in the first place. I’m naturally pretty easygoing, patient, and caring, but I’m also responsible and someone you can count on. I enjoy actually spending time with kids rather than just being there to supervise. I’m happy to play games, do crafts, go outside, help with homework, watch a favorite movie, or just hang out depending on their age and personality. I also don’t mind helping with meals, bedtime routines, or cleaning up after whatever we get into! My professional background has given me a lot of experience communicating with families, building relationships, handling unexpected situations, and working with people with different needs and personalities. I’m currently completing my MSW internship at a local nonprofit where Read more I work with individuals and families in the community. Outside of school, I’m a big animal person (I have a dog and a cat!), love reading, finding new coffee shops, being outside, and spending time with my family and friends. I’d love to find a family that needs someone dependable and trustworthy who their kids can also feel comfortable with and have fun around!
