I started babysitting and nannying occasionally when I was in high school. I get along well with kids, and most kids I meet and care for seem to really like me! I like to play, draw, do crafts, cook and other things with the kids. I like to engage my kids with other things like nature and imaginary play, instead of the use of things like iPads or tablets. I most recently nannied for a 3 year old girl 2 summers ago. I really enjoyed my time with her, as we got to go outside a lot and be in nature in my hometown in Vermont. That particular age group is harder, and never having experienced it before took a little learning. By the end of the summer and my time with her though, I do feel confident in my skills working with that age group. Most other jobs I Read more will take on are usually one time only, or a seasonal job. I lived in a resort town so I did a lot of watching of kids of all ages while their parents went and skied.
