My name is Marquita, and I have dedicated over 15 years to teaching and inspiring children. I currently teach on Fort Bragg, where I have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and help them discover their strengths both inside and outside the classroom. Teaching has always been more than just a career for me it’s a calling. I take pride in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Before becoming a teacher, I also worked as a nanny for five years. That experience deepened my understanding of child development and the importance of individualized care. It taught me patience, compassion, and how to connect with children on a personal level. Those early years shaped the teacher I am today one who believes that education begins with genuine relationships and understanding. Watching their confidence blossom brings me joy and reaffirms why I chose this path. Whether I’m in the classroom, mentoring a student, or supporting families, my goal is always the same to make a positive difference in the lives of the children I serve.
