Hello! My name is Crystal. I have 4+ years of experience working with kids and teens. Most recently, I worked at the Oasis Center (youth shelter and crisis intervention center) in Nashville creating and facilitating engaging activities for at-risk youth to promote social and emotional well-being. I created get-to-know you games and taught fun lessons like how to be a good friend and stand up for yourself and others. I managed a caseload of 6-10 pre-teens (10-13 yrs. old). I held after-school meetings twice a week and facilitated a month-long summer camp Mon. - Fri. During the summer program, I took a group of young people to restaurants and museums. I am comfortable managing more than one young person, especially with varying behaviors, neurodivergence, or special needs. I used to train Girl Scout troop leaders for the council in Mid TN and do crafts in elementary schools with new Girl Read more Scout troops. I'd love to do unique and activities with your kids. Before that, I worked in an Infant - Preschool Nursery at Grace Church of the Nazarene. For private families, I've been a babysitter for a 2 year old, 8 year old, and autistic teen. Plus, I'm great at cooking and think your family would really enjoy my dishes if that is something you are looking for! I make a lot of Southern and Asian meals. I am creative, energetic, motivated, patient, detail-oriented, receptive to feedback, and capable of figuring things out independently.
