Hi! My name is Rebecca. I recently graduated from St. John’s College with a double major in Philosophy and the History of Math and Science. I'm moving to the Williamsburg area to be closer to family and to begin the next chapter of my life. In my free time, I enjoy a wide range of creative and hands-on activities—landscape painting, sewing, playing the piano, and cooking are just a few of my favorite pastimes. I also love to read just about anything I can get my hands on. I'm passionate about lifelong learning and creativity, and I love sharing that passion with others. During the summers of 2021 and 2022, I worked as a lifeguard and led group swim lessons at my local community pool. I also taught private swim lessons for beginner students, and I absolutely loved the one-on-one interaction. That experience sparked my desire to work more closely Read more with children. Later, as a teaching assistant in both a particle physics lab and a microbiology lab during my senior year of college, I found that although I enjoyed helping students in a classroom setting, I was especially drawn to individual instruction and mentorship. I'm especially excited about the opportunity to bring together all the things I love—art, music, science, reading, and hands-on projects—into a nurturing and engaging environment for children. Whether your child wants to learn how to sew, cook, read together, paint a landscape, explore scientific ideas, or simply discover new interests, I’d be thrilled to support and encourage their curiosity. I have current Red Cross certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED for infants, children, and adults. I’m also happy to assist with household tasks like cooking, cleaning, organizing, and pet care—I absolutely love animals!
