I love children/babies…I have since a young girl myself. I was the youngest of 4 girls, and growing up we were the most sought after sitters in Bradford. We each had a family or two that became like family to us. I began babysitting in the 7th grade when a neighbor had their first child … they would have 3 children total and ask me to be godmother to their youngest. I practically raised those children, as their mom was a nurse oncologist at Dana Farber in Boston and worked full time. This family traveled often as well, and they would entrust me with the kids while away. I cared for them through every stage of childhood, from infancy into their high school years even when I was in college and dental school myself. I also raised two girls of my own who are in their twenties…and I can’t wait Read more to be a grandmother! I retired as a general dentist to care for my mom who had Alzheimer’s. You might say I’ve been a caregiver most of my life! And with my DMD degree, I have a lot of medical background. Now that my children are grown and my mom has passed, and with no desire to return to the dental profession, I would love to connect with a family that needs me to help nurture and love their children. It gives me great joy to help a child flourish. I consider that a great blessing.
