I have 4 grown children and three young grandchildren. I love babies and children and am very aware that more brain development happens in our first 5 years of life than it does any other time in life. I believe that the most important need in a child's life is love. If a child feels loved and safe and important, everything else in their lives will fall in line. I was able to raise my children at home, while caring for other people's children in my own in home daycare setting, caring for at least 8 other children over a 5-year span, ranging from 6 months to 5 years of age, until my children were all of school age. Then, I worked as a professional caregiver/ CNA in facilities, homes and hospitals, for many years, caring for adults and children.
