So in my previous profile I used to mention my love for working with children any age and wanted too bring boundaries but fun. In the 2nd grade I always remember I had a NUN ask us what we thought what we thought we would like todo in 20 years. I always said something with children but didn't know how. All my dad's family were teachers and not so positive ones so that put me of education. My father was in the Marine Corps and people in and out of your lives. At ten I started my own babysitting business. As in I would watch/and made sure the house didn't fall down while the adults went to The Balls to Mandatory Meetings. So that when I decided I wanted to work with kids. I went to a college in Syracuse but only lasted 5 years and needed the sun again. Read more I moved to Raleigh/Apex and found a day care/school for me. I was in the two year old room and I was in heaven. You got to be silly but also some attached learning involved. At that age different things are learned so quickly. My favorite things each day is having a child come in the morning and say theirs goodbyes and then get that big hug when being picked up. Unfortunately this job doesn't pay so well so I had to find a way to supplement and I did add on babysitting on the side and was also working as a pharmacy technician at night. I ended up getting a full time at the Pharmacy and worked my way up and just let my certificate lapse after 22 years. So I wanted to find the thing that made me happy and I found this website and another and I found what I was looking for. First was a single mom on maternity leave trying to see if she wanted to reenlist and also doing physical therapy. She has never had another person with her baby. I slowly came around and she was 2 months old and was exclusively breast feeding so that was an obstacle I concurred with the family. lI had two other families also back to back both Marine Families both in the 2-5 range. We made tractors and firetrucks from boxes. The year ended and the last family wanted to try daycare and it worked out perfectly for them. I have now moved from Jacksonville to Willmington and took the year off and bought a house and feeling like I'm missing some again so thought I would see if the stars align again, I have references on hand. I am 50 so over the years I have a 13 year ond nice and 9 year over nephew and they have NEVER had a babysitter other than me. I have done the Certification in I and II From wake tech and Preston School in Apex
