I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy helping and caring for others. I love kids’ energy, imagination, and seeing the world through their eyes. I enjoy playing board games, doing crafts, baking, cooking, and finding fun ways to keep children happy and entertained. I also take pride in being a helping hand to parents and making their day a little easier. I have experience caring for children from newborns through age 14, including babysitting up to three children at a time. I have volunteered at my local elementary school, helping in classrooms and assisting office staff. My mother is a teacher, so I’ve also spent a lot of time learning from her and helping in her classroom. I would describe myself as patient, caring, nurturing, responsible, and calm. I’m comfortable staying calm in stressful situations and I believe routines are important, especially when it comes to bedtime. I Read more also enjoy cooking and baking and love making a home feel warm, comfortable, and welcoming. I’m happy to help with cleaning up and keeping things organized while the children are in my care. I have experience caring for a child with special needs and behavioral challenges. While every child is different, I’m patient and willing to learn what works best for each child and family. I don’t currently have formal CPR or First Aid certifications, but I have learned CPR and understand basic water-safety practices. I’m also comfortable reading medication labels and following parents’ instructions carefully. I have a valid driver’s license as well. My goal is to be the kind of sitter who feels like a calm, caring big sister—a warm, polite, nurturing presence who treats your children with patience and kindness while giving parents a dependable helping hand.
