Hi! My name is Katie Morris, I am 23 years old, and I am originally from Noblesville, IN, but I attended college at the University of Alabama in Huntsville where I got a degree in Child, Family, and Community Development with a concentration in Early Learning and Family Relations. I recently moved to Prattville, AL with no intentions of moving back to Indiana any time soon because the Southern Hospitality has won my heart over! At UAH, I also played Division II Women’s Lacrosse for the Chargers and then took over as the Director of Marketing and Daily Operations. I have been babysitting for about 8 years now and have always had a special place in my heart for children & animals! In high school I was involved in many clubs and extracurricular activities. They include: - Basketball & Lacrosse - Students Against Cancer - YoungLife - Best Buddies - Read more Capernaum - Peer Tutoring (6 years) - DECA Throughout my four years at Noblesville High School, I completed a total of 12 hours of online modules that certified me in three different categories that include, Child Development, Health, and Safety. I have been CPR certified for 4 years, volunteered in a 2 year old classroom at Primrose Preschool for a year, and completed all of my Child Development courses required to become a Cadet Teacher my senior year at Stony Creek Elementary School where I worked in a second grade classroom with my second grade teacher! It was such a treat! At UAH during undergrad I was assigned to a different school in the Huntsville area as a student teacher at Elementary schools where I spent a semester at each one in Grades 1-3. I worked at the UAH Early Learning Center on campus for 3.5 years where I have worked with children aged 3 months-6 years & I have 11 DHR childcare certifications if you are interested in hearing more about those. Some fun facts about me to get to know me outside of babysitting/child care: 1. I do Photography on the side too so feel free to reach out for any photo needs/wants for your family and or friends! 2. I worked in the Athletic Department at UAH where I used my photography skills for our sports teams social medias and I planned Promotional Events for all of our sports teams home games. - I love to travel - I am a big romance & thriller reader - I love to spend time outdoors I would love to be considered for your babysitting needs!
