I have worked with a multitude of kids, from 6 years old up through 17 year olds in a number of settings. As a youth group leader I worked with middle and high school students, forming relationships with these kids through planned activities, Sunday night dinners, going out for coffee and what not. As a camp counselor I worked with a range of kids, from 6 year olds up through 13 year olds. I was in charge of watching over their safety at the archery range, in the pool, ropes course while still maintaining a fun and positive attitude, singing songs, making up 'team' chants and what not. I have also worked as a live-in nanny, taking care of a group of four - 10, 13, 15, 17 - from homework help to helping learn how to drive, that was quite a wild experience and something I would love to Read more do again. I'm a musician by trade and have been training to be an opera singer since I was 15. I am also very proficient in piano. Tennis is my favorite sport, I have played since I was a little kid and still enjoy getting on a court whenever I can. I'm very interested in meditation and mindfulness practices. My favorite weekend activity is hiking and camping. As a native of Maine, I grew up in the woods and still try to get out whenever time and money permits. Food is a huge passion and we are living in an age where so many different kinds of cuisines are accessible.
