I have been working as a nanny for 27 years, caring for children of all ages, ranging from newborn to elementary school age. I love and care for the kids as if they were my own. In my current position, I take care of three children, ages 2, 4 and 7. I have been with this family since the oldest was born. With the younger children, the focus was on bottle feeding breastmilk and introducing solids. We love to practice our colors and numbers, and read books. As the children have grown older, I help arrange playdates and activities for them, drop them off and pick them up from school, prepare healthy meals, and keep the children's areas clean and organized. Early in my time with my current family, when there was only one child, I also watched the baby from another family who is just a few months younger. Read more So I have experience taking care of two children very similar ages and juggling the demands of two families. Prior to that, I worked for four different families. With each of these families, I took care of the children from the time that they were infants until the family either moved or the child started school. I continue to keep in touch with all of the families that I've worked with and I am happy to receive many birthday cards every year from them. My favorite aspect of taking care of children is being outside - to see them run, play and interact with other kids. I am also very proud to see them grow up and learn. I am careful to be on time every day because I understand that whatever family I work for relies on me to help keep everything moving smoothly.

June has been with us since 2008 when my son was 10 weeks old. Since then, we’ve had two more children and I can’t imagine surviving working and being a mother without her. But now that our youngest will be in school, we no longer need someone full time so we are eager to help June get situated with a nice family. June is incredibly trustworthy, active and loving. Whatever needs to be done related to child rearing, June has done it - from the early baby care like preparing bottles of breastmilk, teaching counting and colors, to bigger kid stuff like preparing meals, trips to the park, reading, play dates, etc. She provides structure for the kids in a very loving way and my children are incredibly attached to her. On weekend mornings, the kids will wake up and ask hopefully, “Is June coming today?” In addition to how wonderful she is with my children, I appreciate how professional June is. She is on time and cheerful every morning, and somehow she manages to keep my kids on time for their appointments, something I can never seem to manage. Most importantly, I know that June would guard my children as if they were her own. June hasn’t been just a nanny, but has helped me raise my children. And for that, I am incredibly grateful.
