I’m Rosary Tambunan, originally from Denver, Colorado, and now a student in Washington, D.C. Growing up in a big family, I’ve been surrounded by children all my life, and caring for them has always been second nature. From infants to teenagers, and including kids with special needs, I’ve had years of hands-on experience helping out with all ages. Why I love being a sitter I love being a sitter because kids bring so much joy and creativity into everyday life. Whether it’s listening to their stories, joining in on imaginative play, helping with homework, or just being there to make them feel safe and happy, I find it rewarding to create special moments where children feel cared for. My experience I’ve been babysitting as long as I can remember. With a large extended family, I started out helping with siblings, cousins, and neighbors, and since then I’ve cared for children Read more in many different settings. I also have experience supporting children with special needs, which has taught me patience, flexibility, and the importance of building trust. Skills and training I’m fluent in English, Spanish, and Indonesian, which helps me connect with families from many backgrounds. I love cooking and often involve kids in simple, fun kitchen activities when appropriate. I also love Disney, and I use music and storytelling as tools to make our time together extra fun. In addition, I can drive children safely to and from school, activities, or playdates, and I enjoy tutoring in different subjects to help kids feel confident with their schoolwork. Above all, I bring reliability, kindness, and creativity into every job. I’d love the chance to be a helping hand for your family, making things easier for parents and exciting for kids.

We’ve had Rosary watch our 20-month old 5-6 times so far, and she’s been amazing every single time. She’s always on time, keeps us updated, and has such a calm, caring way with our toddler — especially when he’s feeling anxious about us leaving. It’s clear she truly enjoys spending time with him, and that makes all the difference! We completely trust her, and having that peace of mind is priceless. We plan to keep using her regularly and feel so lucky to have found her!
