Hi there! My name is Kaylee and I am a 24 year old working within the school system seeking out summer and weekend work for families in my area. During the school year I am a full time 1 on 1 reading tutor in Stockbridge Michigan through a non profit reading program. I have been working for the Michigan school system for two years now as a sub and tutor. I grew up in Ohio and attended Bowling Green State University, gaining a BA of the Arts in English. During college I also volunteered as a class assistant for 3 years. Outside of the school system I have nannied and babysat for families throughout high school and early college. I have experience with children ages 6 months-12 years old. I enjoy cultivating a healthy and fun environment for children through interactive learning, crafts, and creating individualized activities based on a Read more child's interests. I try to make a point of integrating educational activities throughout my days with them to keep them learning and growing. Taking children on small trips to parks, museums, or nature areas are very fun if granted by the parents. I am capable of maintaining a clean space for the children and families I work for, this includes and is not limited to laundry, dishes, sweeping/mopping, dusting, and bathrooms. I think each parent deserves as much time with their child as they can get and if I can increase that by helping out around the house I think that is great! I also am a great cook and am able to meal plan(with accordance to allergies) and grocery shop for the children's meals I will be in charge of.
