I have been working with children for 13 years. This includes children of all ages and also includes children with disabilities. Right now, I am full-time special education teaching assistant in Albemarle County Public Schools. I am also in school to obtain my elementary general education degree/teaching license. Teaching children is my passion- and I believe that we can all teach, learn, and grow together in many ways! As of now, I am looking for a part-time nanny position. Ideally, this would look something like picking up or waiting for kids to come home from school. I get off around 3 pm from my full-time job, which is located near the Crozet/Ivy area of Albemarle County. I can offer homework help, tutoring, taking children to after school activities (such as sports or music lessons), and we could also do our thing within your home- such as play-time, arts and crafts, Read more exploring some nature, really whatever your children are interested in. I would also offer some other usual after school things like making some yummy snacks and helping out around the house with some light chores. I am an animal lover, with 2 cats of my own, and don’t mind any pets you may have within the home. I would also offer help with the pets, too, such as feeding, walking, or letting them out. A little bit about me- I am 30 years old and have been in the Charlottesville area for around 11 years now. I enjoy reading, acrylic painting, trying new restaurants with friends, and chilling out with my cats in my free time. I also really enjoy taking care of my house plants as well. I have a ton of experience being a nanny, my last job lasting 7 1/2 years before I decided to pursue a position within the school district. I have worked with kids pre-K to 12th grade- elementary age being my favorite though. I am CPR/First Aid certified, CPI certified, and many other certifications that are needed in order to work in public schools, also including Autism-based training. I have my own car, have a valid drivers license, and a great driving record. I look forward to hearing from you all!
