I have been a lifelong caregiver, as I have my own children and now grandchildren. I started and a successful Licensed Childcare Center in Mills River, NC for 12 years. I have always loved, understood, and valued children. I consider it the utmost “Privilege” to assist families in their care, developmental growth and education. I am also still able to be a "kid at heart" when it comes to having fun! I have always had a wonderful connection with children being able to “tap into” my own childhood years of wonderment, each new thing discovered, and enjoyment from the simple things. I learned so much about developmental milestones and the activities that promote their development. Have you heard of ASQ? It’s a questionnaire that was developed by doctors and researchers for caregivers and parents use to assess various ages of development (2 mos-60 mos) to understand and monitor the various Read more ages of development which are: Communication, Gross & Fine Motor, Problem-solving abilities & Personal & Social skills. Their research is still going and updates are applied as they learn more about the development of young children. Childcare also teaches you all about keeping children safe. Background checks, safety drills, food safety, playground safety, (teaching them about strangers, knowing a parents phone number and their address, if old enough). So I’ve got that covered for a family’s peace of mind. I would consider it a privilege to be entrusted with assisting in the day to day care and nurture of your child/children/& animals (as I also raised AKC Golden retrievers for many years).
