I’ve been caring for kids for over 9 years through babysitting, full-time nannying, and volunteer work. I started out babysitting and went on to be a summer camp counselor, which gave me great experience planning activities, keeping kids engaged, and balancing fun with structure. During college, I completed my undergrad internship at Project Horizon, where I worked directly with children in the shelter setting, supporting them through play and activities in a safe, caring environment. I also have experience working with children with special needs, including a young boy with level 3 autism. My responsibilities included taking him to OT, speech, and ABA sessions and applying ABA strategies at home to support consistency and progress. That role really taught me patience, creativity, and how to adapt routines to fit each child’s unique needs. I love creating a warm, supportive space where children feel safe, happy, and encouraged to grow. I’m currently located in Charlottesville, VA, but I love Northern Virginia and DC and am looking for a full-time position. I’m happy to relocate for the right family!
