Hello SitterCity families! My name is Deja and I am excited to connect with you. Here's more about me/ what I can provide: Academically, I have a BA in psychology and anthropology from UCLA with courses in child development, abnormal psychology, educational/school psychology, Occupation and Adaptation of the Pediatric Client, Clinical Reasoning. After graduation, I worked in autism services (pediatric clients ages 3-12 years old) for several years. I have a wide array of experiences in regards to special needs and I'm currently in graduate school at Tufts University to earn my entry level doctorate and become an Occupational Therapist. As for what I can provide, here are some general things (my profile has a lot more of the details): light meal preparation, light housework (cleaning counters, straightening up play areas, swiffering floors, washing dishes), bedtime routines (brushing teeth, bathing, changing diapers), enrichment activities (learning activities depending on your child's Read more needs), homework assistance, basic spanish proficiency (capable of reading a children's book in spanish, asking basic questions, labeling everyday items), and public transportation to museums/parks/etc. And, as a bonus (more so for me!) but pets are absolutely welcome! I pride myself on being someone who listens to people's needs, seeks out feedback, and who genuinely cares. People who know me best would probably describe me as patient, compassionate, and reliable.
