Hi! My name is Jannette, and I’m a 29-year-old caregiver with a lifelong passion for working with children. My journey in childcare began casually at age 12, babysitting for family and friends to earn movie money and phone minutes. Over time, it naturally evolved into a meaningful career built on compassion, creativity, and consistency. I have nearly 5 years of experience as a full-time nanny for a family with three wonderful children (ages 4, 7, and 14). During that time, I supported their busy household through everything from schoolwork and bedtime routines to pet care—two dogs, a playful puppy, and a bunny! I also traveled with them and helped manage day-to-day logistics, including meal prep, errands, and coordinating with other parents during group outings. In my most recent role, I cared for two incredible girls (now 4 and 6) in a family of four. Both girls are on the autism Read more spectrum, and one has ADHD. I’ve worked closely with their parents to support their development—creating visual schedules, setting up calming corners, attending therapy appointments, and helping with school transitions. This experience has deepened my understanding of neurodiverse children and reinforced my commitment to providing nurturing, individualized care. My approach blends structure and fun. I love doing arts and crafts, spending time in nature, baking, and especially visiting the library. I also enjoy helping with early learning activities and school readiness in a way that meets each child where they are. Beyond childcare, I’ve also worked in schools—supporting students with behavioral needs at KIPP and caring for infants in a Montessori setting. I have administrative and clerical experience as well, which makes me highly organized and dependable. I’m currently looking for a new full-time or part-time position as my most recent family transitions to a new chapter. I bring with me years of hands-on experience, a genuine love for children, and a heart that’s fully in it. I look forward to supporting a family in need of a warm, capable, and flexible caregiver.
