Hello! My name is Haley, I am 23 years old, and I am looking for a part-time position! I am currently in school at SBCC and am on my way to becoming a kindergarten teacher. I have been babysitting since I was 15 and have found a passion for the brain and how it develops. Right now I also work as a full time barista, but I would like to be working with children as well while I work towards my degree. I am playful, creative, responsible, and patient and am looking forward to working with kiddos again :) I grew up in Montana so I have a love for the outdoors and exploring. Prioritizing play instead of screens is an important part of growing up and I am not afraid to play with the kids to keep them engaged and active. To me, the most important part of being a nanny is providing a safe space where children are able to express themselves, learn and play, and feel comfortable while being apart from their parents. While becoming a teacher I have come to understand the importance of children being met with patience and understanding in order for them to feel seen and safe. Also, I think working with kids is fun, they can be hilarious and enlightening.
