Hello! My name is Ava Altman, I am 32 years old and a college graduate. About a year ago I moved back home to Saint Louis to settle down after living on the East Coast for many years working in creative and advertising production. I began my graduate studies in library and information science before moving. Now, I'm seeking a role that will allow me the flexibility to continue advancing these skills outside of work that is joyous and meaningful. Working with children compliments my curious and creative nature. I am patient and kind with a great sense of humor. Moreover, I understand the significance and seriousness of watching and caring for young humans, maintaining balance and security while retaining order and remaining compassionate. As a preteen and teenager, I worked regularly as a babysitter and mother’s helper. During college, I worked as a camp counselor for the YMCA. In my early 20s, I took time off college to be an Au Pair in Ireland and Paris. I have had a broad range of experiences working with infants and children of various ages as well as children who struggle with certain limitations or disabilities. As an individual, I’m communicative, reliable, creative, energetic, and passionate. I’m fun while also mindful and respectful of parental wishes and instructions.
