Hi! My name is Sophia. I'm a recent graduate of Gettysburg College with a BA in Sociology. I've been working with kids since I was 14 and I am currently an Elementary School Teacher in North Philly. For the past four summers, I worked as a camp counselor at a sleep-away camp in Maine for girls (ages 7-16). This camp revolved around backwood, wilderness tripping, so I was required to be become CPR & AED certified as well as Wilderness Advanced First Aid certified. In addition to planning the menu and packing the essential gear for our trip, I was responsible for leading the trips (up to 2 weeks long) as smoothly and safely as possible. That being said, I have had a lot of experience with taking care of children from preschool to high school. I love playing with the kids outdoors, whether sports, music, or imagination!
