Hi! My name is Kyasiah Jeter, but most people call me Asiah. I am a senior at North Carolina Central University majoring in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. Alongside my studies, I am also taking classes to continue my journey toward becoming a postpartum nurse. I am CPR certified, SIDS certified, and First Aid certified, and I have several years of hands-on childcare experience. My passion for working with children started in middle school when I helped at my aunt’s summer program while she served as Director of Primrose Academy. Throughout high school, I shadowed a kindergarten teacher at Springfield Elementary and worked in the clinical school connected to the Early Childhood Education program at Nation Ford High School. For the past two years, I have worked at Woodcroft School in Durham, North Carolina, where I’ve gained valuable hands-on experience working with children of different ages. I also Read more babysit regularly for multiple families, and references are always available upon request. As the oldest child in my family, caring for others has always come naturally to me. I love creating fun, hands-on experiences for children through crafts, baking, outdoor adventures, and creative play. One thing I value most is limiting screen time and encouraging children to explore, learn, and enjoy the world around them. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and memorable environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun!
