Hi! My name is McKenzie, and I have many years of experience working with children of a variety of ages, abilities, and needs. My experience with children actually started in high school, where I worked as a preschool teacher. While attending college, I was also a live-in nanny, giving me hands-on experience caring for children in their home environment and being a consistent part of their daily routines. For the past 6+ years, I have worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), working one-on-one with children, including children with autism and other developmental needs. Through my experience, I’ve become very comfortable helping children communicate their needs, following routines, assisting with daily living skills, navigating challenging behaviors, and keeping kids engaged through fun and age-appropriate activities. I am also CPR/First Aid trained and take safety very seriously. I would describe myself as patient, dependable, energetic, caring, and understanding. I know every Read more child is different, and I’m comfortable providing a little extra patience, structure, or individualized support when needed. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy working with kids and creating a fun, comfortable environment where they can be themselves.
