Hello! My name is Heather Simar and I am 38 years young. I am a professional tax preparer and an insurance benefit advisor for Aflac, BUT, my passion in life is helping people live a better life and especially, I enjoy working with children and adolescents. I have a educational background in early childhood development and child psychology and also have a great attitude that really attracts and draws children to me. I am fun and also responsible. I do know CPR and the Heimlich maneuver but I'm not certified. I can get certified if that is something you are interested in and also, I too, am interested in getting certified officially. My father was a paramedic so he always thought it important for me to know those things from an early age because I had two younger brothers and helped my mother to raise them. I also have professional experience working with children with developmental/mental issues and helped my adolescent client to socialize herself and engaged in activities that helped build the child's confidence and self-esteem. I worked with my client for 3 years as her homeschooling instructor as well and I helped my client using therapeutic play such as horseback riding, outdoor activities, gardening, physical activities, journaling, ect. I am a Hands-On caretaker and enjoy activities and engaging with my clients. I am looking to generate some more income and I really enjoy looking after children. I have references that I can provide for you and also I would enjoy hearing more about the job and learning if I am a good fit for you and your family. I am comfortable with pets and don't mind doing a little housekeeping. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
