Hi there! My name is Kalea and I am from Seattle Washington and I just started my first year here at Washington State University. I have always absolutely loved kids and I eventually want to be an elementary school teacher! I grew up watching over my nieces, nephews and family friends helping out where I could. Once I was able to get a job I spent a little over 2 years working at The Little Gym of Bellevue where I was a lead gymnastics coach for kids aging from 1-12 years old. In this role I gained a lot of experience with children, how they learn, how to build their confidence, how to keep their needs met and how to keep them safe. I also got experience lesson planning, cleaning, managing time and communicating effectively.
