   Hi! I’m Claire Katz & I’m so excited you are reading my profile! I’m a fun loving, caring & professional Early Childhood Educator (ECE), who's ready to work for you! I knew I would work with kids, since I was one myself & started babysitting at 12. In high school I took my first ECE class worked, as a preschool assistant, & was hooked. I continued my education & received my certification to be an Early Childhood Educator, as well as my licensure to be a Director. I have worked with children in some form or another since then. I’ve ran an after school program, nannied, taught at 2 large, schools in L.A, & a small private one in Santa Monica. There I acted as a teacher & Assistant Director. They were both very sick, but my son was much worse. However, after a grueling 3 months in the NICU my babies were both home. My son came home requiring oxygen for the first 9 months of his life. To say that I am first aid & CPR certified(which I am) would be an understatement. Raising preemies, has definitely given me more than the average newborn experience! Now, they're healthy, happy 3rd graders, & I'm coming back full circle with my passion. This spring, I was offered a great but temporary nanny position for a family visiting for 6 weeks. I took care of their 4 month old & 4 year old twin boys who had CP & were on the spectrum. The 15 hr/wk position quickly turned into 35+ hours as I quickly bonded with their children, plus mom and dad. They were amazing & I was sad to see them go. However, it was then I realized I could still nanny professionally AND be a mom! I truly believe I am the TOTAL package to care for your children!. As an educator & mom I understand how important it is for children to be engaged, play, sing songs, be silly & as an added bonus learn. I’m fun, patient & entertaining. The teacher has never left me, so I bring activities, projects, games etc. all of which are developmental & developmentally appropriate. As a twin mother, I come from a loving, & nurturing place. I bond with children & their families very quickly. I'm also professional,I value, dependability, punctuality & take caring of your children as if they were my own!
