Hi! My name is Nisha, and I absolutely love working with children! I have several years of experience caring for and working with kids of all ages, and I genuinely enjoy creating a fun, safe, and positive environment where children can feel comfortable being themselves. For 6 years, I taught karate and self-defense to children of all ages, which gave me extensive experience working with kids individually as well as managing groups. Teaching has taught me how to communicate with children at different developmental stages, keep them engaged and interested, establish appropriate boundaries, and handle different personalities and energy levels with patience and understanding. I especially love watching kids gain confidence as they learn something new! In addition to teaching, I have 2 years of babysitting experience, including caring for children individually and supervising groups of children. I’m comfortable keeping kids entertained through age-appropriate activities, helping with routines and homework, Read more preparing simple meals and snacks, and making sure children are safe, happy, and well cared for. I also understand how important it is for parents to have someone they can trust and communicate openly with. I have a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Sacred Heart University, where I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2023 and my Master’s degree in 2024. My education has given me a strong understanding of child development, behavior, communication, and individual differences, which I find incredibly valuable when working with children. I was previously CPR certified and am currently in the process of renewing my certification. Most importantly, I truly enjoy spending time with kids. Whether we’re playing, doing crafts, going outside, working on homework, learning something new, or simply having fun together, I want children to feel safe, supported, and excited to spend time with me.
