My childcare career truly began when I was 12, looking after my sister who is 9 years my junior. But I have always had a passion for kids and giving them a perfect balance between structure and fun. Between the ages of 12 and 18 I got the bulk of my experience with children; baby sitting the multitude of neighbor hood children I lived around (ages varying from 2 months- 11) and my sister's classmates. Three years ago I was hired as a Summer Camp Counselor at Children's Musical Theater Summer Camp were I was in charge of 25-31 children a session- teaching them acting, singing, dancing and engaging them in a variety of games. There, I discovered that there is nothing I would rather do for the rest of my life than work with children and impress upon every single one how valued, loved and intelligent they all are.
