Hi! My name is Sofia and I’ve loved caring for kids for as long as I can remember. Growing up as the oldest daughter with three younger sisters, I naturally stepped into a caretaker role and developed a genuine passion for making sure children feel safe, cared for, and happy. Nothing makes me happier than seeing kids light up, feel supported, and know that someone is there for them. I have years of hands-on experience babysitting my younger sisters throughout childhood, as well as babysitting for additional children, ranging from infants to tweens, on a regular basis. My responsibilities included hanging out with them, helping with every part of their bedtime routine, reading stories, and tucking them in so they felt safe and comfortable enough to fall asleep before their parents returned. I’ve also tutored one of the kids I babysat, and I met another through coaching them in gymnastics—my Read more other part-time job. As a gymnastics coach, I worked with young children to help them build skills, confidence, and body awareness in a supportive and encouraging environment. I bring a variety of practical skills to babysitting as well. I can prepare snacks and meals, help with homework or even guide kids through writing assignments, and keep them engaged with fun, educational activities. I love encouraging kids to open up about their day and connecting with them through their favorite hobbies, sports, or interests. I also have my own car and can safely drive children to activities, school events, or run errands as needed. I’m patient, responsible, and truly enjoy creating a positive and warm environment for kids.
