Hi, my name is Karla! I’ve always loved working with children which is why I am currently finishing up my masters in secondary education. In the past years I’ve had the opportunity to work with children from preschool ages to middle school. In preschool, I worked as an assistant teacher, facilitating behavior in classroom, creating an engaging and fun environment for children as well as teaching math and science lessons. As far as elementary school experience I worked two years as an after school math teacher. In this role I was in charge of my own classroom with about 10 students. Through this role I was able to connect with my students and individualize instruction, so that all felt they were capable of succeeding. With these experiences I have been been able to grow as a caretaker/teacher and have learned many ways to keep children active while also incorporating academic Read more elements.
