Hi! My name is Janel (pronounced Juh-Nell) I am blessed to be the oldest in a very large family. Not only have I grown up with children, I have been around many families (small and large) all my life, interacting and assisting with their children. I can help with newborns, toddlers, younger, and older kids. I love planning games and activities with children, while also taking the opportunity to educate children when a game or activity brings that opportunity. I feel accomplished when I help a child learn how to resolve conflict, how to be a team member with their sibling(s), and how to overcome a school-related challenge. Being around many kids with different personalities has taught me how to adapt, multitask, and not be frantically moved by a child’s emotions (no matter how loud or cute that child may be!). MORE ABOUT MYSELF I have already graduated from college. Right now I work part time while getting ready to apply to med school and grad school. When I am not working, volunteering, hanging around friends and families, or talking to horses (yes, the most amazing land animals in the world, and I am totally not biased as a horseback rider 😃), I am usually doing something artsy whether it’d be reading, writing, drawing, or playing music.
