Hi, my name is Ruth! I am a recent university graduate. I have 8+ years of volunteer babysitting experience and have cared for children ranging from newborn to 12 years old. I babysat my younger siblings and children at church. I gained this experience as a teenager. I prepared meals, changed diapers, helped with homework, and, of course, played many games! I loved interacting with children of all ages. My goals were safety first, then fun! In addition to babysitting, I have, more recently, volunteered as a caregiver for the elderly and profoundly disabled. The responsibilities included doctors' appointments, grocery shopping, assisting with activities of daily living, and wound care. My professional experiences have included tutoring high school and college chemistry and math. I have also been a teaching assistant for chemistry. My current career path is nursing. I recently graduated with my BSN and am preparing to take the Read more state boards. Throughout nursing school, I gained many different skills and certifications. I am certified in basic life support (BLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and youth Mental Health First Aid. Some of my hobbies include reading, listening to classical music, gardening, and spending time with family. I also enjoy animals and have at various times cared for dairy goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, goldfish, and horses. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your family!
