Hi! I’m a college graduate pursuing my masters degree in Philosophy with a career goal of teaching. During my undergrad I was a Philosophy major with a minor in Psychology. I’m from Queens where I was born and raised. I moved away a little over a year ago because my husband is doing his medical residency in the area. I absolutely love the Hudson Valley because of how much I love to hike and be outdoors in nature. I have 4 years of experience working with kids. Most recently I’ve worked as a substitute teacher in elementary, middle and high schools and prior I worked for a children’s party company where I hosted at least 300 events for kids of all ages. I managed the children and provided fun services like face painting, balloon animals, and dance parties! I love to encourage creativity and play. In the past I have Read more worked as a tutor for a year and a babysitter for a family friend. This is not to include how much I’ve been around babies all my life- being one of the oldest in the generations of children of my family. I’ve helped with homework, projects and made healthy meals. I am also very experienced in pet care if you have a pet in the house as well. I have a dog who is 13 years old and a cat who is 4. I also walked a lovely and large, Great Pyrenees, for over a year until I moved here in Saugerties. I very much enjoy my time with children because of how much we get to learn from each other. I find I am happier and more at peace and I recognize that is important for a child of any age to see in me, which is why I can confidently continue to want to provide child care. Also, I have my own car and a clean driving record.
