Hello! My name is Emily! I am 24 years old and a recent graduated from University of Puget Sound. I now have my bachelors in Kinesology and Neuroscience and plan on applying to medical school in three years. I speak spanish, i love reading, the outdoors, and I have the most adorable cat! I have a car to commute to you! I would be open to one time coverage or a long-term position. I started babysitting when I was 13 (ages ranging from infant to 10 years old) and became a camp counselor at 17. There, at camp, I spent 8 weeks of the summer with a cabin of ~12 campers ages 13-15 years old. I do, however, have experience working with all ages. I believe in approaching harmful behaviors with curiosity and kindness—with the goal of certifying your kiddos safety! I also now work with a 5 and 6 year old as a part of a volunteer organization. I have learned to recognize overstimulation and trauma responses, and respond in ways that are regulating and comforting. Importantly, I am Basic Life Support certified (CPR for healthcare for providers) from adults, children, toddlers, and infants.
