I am a devoted, loving caregiver for children and elderly clients, focusing on early-childhood education, creativity, self-esteem, physical development, and household management. Alongside my work with children, I have spent the past 10 years as my father’s primary caregiver. I grew up in Chicago with a mother who founded a school for art and drama, inspiring my lifelong love of children and the arts. I earned my B.A. from UNC–Chapel Hill and my M.A. in Russian and Soviet Literature from Georgetown University. Travel has taught me to adapt easily to new environments and cultures. I am the proud single mother of a wonderful, multi-talented son, Xavier, now 28. Raised in a home filled with music and art, he received an honors scholarship to The McCallie School and completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Northwestern University, graduating with honors. I have extensive experience with newborns, toddlers, and middle school children, Read more as well as the perspective of raising a son through his teenage years. I understand the changing needs, challenges, and joys of each developmental stage. Fostering curiosity, a love of learning, and creativity is my guiding philosophy. Early education is a particular expertise. I believe children should have stimulating experiences from the beginning that encourage intellectual, creative, and physical growth. Social development is equally important. Helping children build friendships, communicate, develop self-esteem, and advocate for themselves and others lays the foundation for fulfilling relationships. One of my greatest joys is watching each child’s personality unfold: their quirks, questions, discoveries, small victories, milestones, and growth through joyful and challenging moments. I consider it a privilege to share these formative years. I love exploring Nashville with the children in my care, visiting the Frist, Adventure Science Center, the Downtown Library, Children’s Theater, Little Art House, the Nashville Farmers’ Market, Sevier Park, and local classes and events. I enjoy discovering and sharing Nashville’s cultural and educational opportunities. At my core, I am silly, creative, and hardworking, always making up jingles and finding whimsy in the world around me. I maintain wonderful relationships with former clients and consider nurturing children’s confidence, curiosity, and creativity a gift and my life’s calling. I would be delighted to share that spirit with a loving new family.
