I’ve enjoy teaching, exploring and spending time with children that I have babysat and their families. I understand the difficulties in making decisions on child care, careers and trying to find a balance between both. Over the years I’ve found it very rewarding to help other families with the same obstacles I myself had to face. I have babysat for approximately 10 families over the last 25 years. When my children reached school age I went and worked for a home instruction preschool program called Hippy at the YWCA in Batavia, Ohio. I continued to work there for 9 years and babysat in the summers for friends of my daughters. At Hippy we worked with parents to give them the tools and information to prepare their children for kindergarten. At this time I was certified in first aid, CPR and took many early childhood development classes.
