I love working with children, especially younger children. My most recent employment was with toddlers (1 1/2 - 2 1/2 years) and loved that age group. I have raised my own biological children. I was I foster parent for 19 years. I have babysat since I could at 12 years old and before that I enjoyed being a mother’s helper. I was stay at home mom and home schooled my bio children a few years. I entered the work force in 2017. I’ve worked in a daycare setting full time since 2018 and worked exclusively with toddlers the last 3 years. My current husband and I were both widows when we met on eharmony. It has been a long road with immigration. I a Canadian, married my us husband in Dec. 2024. I finally joined him here in Taneytown and am eager to start working. A dream would be to Read more become a nanny with a family who is just starting out. Ideal to work during my husband’s hours (he works 630am-430pm week days). I do not need to work all those hours either. I just would like to contribute some financially to the household. Bonus if there are some health care benefits (I come from Canada with ‘free’ health care so having some benefits would be a plus.) Shorter commutes are definitely going to be ideal. I am a born again Christian so a family not opposed to my beliefs is ideal as well. I love the outdoors (I do believe in the concept of no such thing as bad weather). Not a fan of screen time for the littles. I am healthy and active and would love to be apart of a family that shares those values. I love starting babies on solids. I was always one to make my baby food rather than using the store bought. I love toilet training. I am really looking forward to being apart of family life. Daycare was fun but having a part of raising a family and just doing family life is appealing to me, hence the reason for applying as a nanny.
