I am phenomenal when working with children, and it is for that reason why I started to babysit in the first place. The bulk of my experience is babysitting within my extended family, but I know how to get on a child's level, make them feel respected and respect authority in turn, and show patience with them. I have extensive skill in basic medicine, including treating everyday small injuries, basic diseases and conditions, heat exhaustion/stroke, burns, frostbite, sprains, and even stabilizing more serious wounds such as fractures or deep lacerations until medical professionals can arrive. I am certified to perform both CPR and the Heimlich maneuver on both adults /children and infants. As a helpful aside, I am an excellent cook, and can make good-tasting simple meals that are healthy in a limited amount of time, or more complex meals if time and supplies allow. Additionally, I have my food Read more handler's permit, and thus am legally recognized as having competent food hygiene. Though I have no formal training, I have found that I am good at explaining educational concepts of any level, based on what level the learner is starting from.
