I am a Nanny, with over 15 year's of experience with children of all ages. I am also a mother of three and a grandmother of five, who all are today, successful adults. It is my love for children that has drawn me to this profession simply because of the joy they bring into my life. Once they get to know me, they enjoy my company as much as I enjoy theirs. I have approximately five year's of experience with an autistic child, with whom a close bond developed while in my care, that still remains between us today. My strongest attribute has always been my ability to encourage and motivate children which I have found to be a key in building a childs positive sense of self worth. I make it a point to direct my focus on positivity in every situation which provides a sense of happiness and acceptance rather than the fear of failure. I am an avid rock hound and I also enjoy walking, hiking, camping, swimming and gardening. I have a remarkable ability in connecting with children that stems from being compassionate and kind with a strong sense to nurture and love. I have still to this day have strong relationships and close bonds with more than one of the family's from my past employment, meeting up with them and taking the child who was once in my care to go do something fun like a movie at the theatr, bowling, water park, six flags, etc so we can continue to keep the relationship, that we have built ongoing and strong. It is these families that provide me a strong and reputable reference.
